The CEDEJ is launching a post-doctoral fellowship for recent PhD holders in social sciences and humanities.<\/b><\/p>\n
Le CEDEJ est une unit\u00e9 de recherche pluridisciplinaire en sciences humaines et sociales sur l\u2019Egypte contemporaine. Il contribue aux d\u00e9bats scientifiques actuels en portant une attention sp\u00e9cifique aux processus d\u2019anthropisation et de reconfiguration des politiques publiques dans diff\u00e9rents domaines ayant un impact direct sur le bien-\u00eatre d\u2019une population de 100 millions d\u2019habitants. Cette offre de bourse post-doctorale entend combler un vide dans la recherche sur les articulations entre politiques sectorielles et les nouveaux d\u00e9bats sur les questions environnementales et urbaines en restant attentifs aux repr\u00e9sentations et pratiques des groupes sociaux concern\u00e9s. Elle vise aussi \u00e0 renforcer le dialogue scientifique avec la recherche \u00e9gyptienne.<\/span><\/p>\n CEDEJ is a multidisciplinary research center in humanities and social sciences on contemporary Egypt. It contributes to current scientific debates by paying specific attention to the processes of anthropization and reconfiguration of public policies in various fields that have a direct impact on the well-being of a population of 100 million inhabitants. This post-doctoral fellowship is intended to fill a gap in research on the articulations between sectoral policies and the new debates on environmental and urban issues, while remaining attentive to the representations and practices of the social groups concerned. It also aims to strengthen the scientific dialogue with Egyptian researchers<\/span><\/p>\n Conditions du post-doctorat<\/b><\/p>\n Les priorit\u00e9s th\u00e9matiques suivent, de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence, l\u2019axe de recherche \u00ab\u00a0Ville, mobilit\u00e9s et environnement\u00a0\u00bb du<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>CEDEJ<\/b>. La formation disciplinaire peut \u00eatre\u00a0: sociologie, science politique, histoire, g\u00e9ographie, anthropologie, \u00e9tudes de d\u00e9veloppement, \u00e9tudes urbaines.<\/span><\/p>\n Cette bourse post-doctorale de 12 mois est attribu\u00e9e par un comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection qui \u00e9valuera la qualit\u00e9 du parcours des candidat.e.s et des productions ant\u00e9rieures, le projet de recherche et la convergence de celui-ci avec les recherches en cours au CEDEJ. Le ou la post-doctorant.e sera amen\u00e9.e \u00e0 participer \u00e0 l\u2019animation scientifique du CEDEJ et \u00e0 prendre part aux activit\u00e9s scientifiques du CEDEJ : les Rendez-vous du CEDEJ, les Atelier de recherche, les conf\u00e9rences Midan Mounira, et les CEDEJ Environment and Social Policies Webinaires. L\u2019avancement de ses travaux fera l\u2019objet d\u2019une restitution orale lors d\u2019un atelier de recherche, ainsi que de contributions sur le blog du CEDEJ et\/ou d\u2019une publication dans la revue ESMA (Egypte Soudan Mondes arabes).<\/span><\/p>\n Elle\/il sera plus sp\u00e9cifiquement mobilis\u00e9.e sur l\u2019aide \u00e0 l\u2019animation du nouveau R\u00e9seau des \u00e9tudes urbaines en \u00c9gypte (Network of Urban Studies in Egypt <\/span>https:\/\/nuse.hypotheses.org<\/span><\/a>). Un quart de temps devrait \u00eatre consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 cette activit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n Le dossier de candidature pourra \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en Fran\u00e7ais ou en Anglais. La ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019anglais \u00e9crit et oral est indispensable, en plus de l\u2019arabe.<\/span><\/p>\n Il n\u2019y a aucune condition de nationalit\u00e9 (les candidatures \u00e9gyptiennes sont encourag\u00e9es).<\/span><\/p>\n The thematic priorities preferably follow the CEDEJ’s “City, Mobilities and Environment” research axis. <\/b>The disciplinary background can be: sociology (including: sociology of law, economic sociology), political science, history, geography, anthropology, development studies, urban studies.<\/span><\/p>\n This 12-month post-doctoral fellowship is awarded by a selection committee that will evaluate the quality of the candidate’s background and previous writings, the research project and its convergence with the CEDEJ\u2019s research orientations. The candidate will be asked to participate in the scientific animation of CEDEJ and to take part in the scientific activities such as: the Rendez-vous du CEDEJ, Research Workshops, the Midan Mounira Conferences, and the Environment and Social Policies Webinar Series. The post-doctoral fellow will present her\/his work during a research workshop, and will be expected to contribute to the CEDEJ blog and\/or to publish an article in the ESMA journal (Egypt Soudan Mondes arabes).<\/span><\/p>\n She\/He will more specifically help animate the new Network of Urban Studies in Egypt (https:\/\/nuse.hypotheses.org). 25% of the time should be devoted to this activity.<\/span><\/p>\n The application may be submitted in French or in English. The post-doctoral fellow will have to reside in Egypt during the period of the allocation and will be required to participate in collective activities.
