\u201cDigital Humanities\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0lies at the crossroad of hard sciences (mathematics and computer science) and social sciences. This theme places its programming and geosimulation skills at the disposal of the Social and Human Sciences (SHS) and its work pertains to applied mathematical research.<\/p>\n \u2013 This theme is involved in various research programs: electoral sociology; urban pollution; Internet portals on archaeological sites in Egypt; water management in arid and semi-arid areas; information retrieval tools such as Bibalex, and the interactive Egypt map. The Centre conducts training programs, including implementing and coordinating GIS 4D training for CAMPAS agents. Digital Humanities and GIS works in partnership with the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE) and the University of Lyon in the context of the inter-university EPHE-University of Lyon diploma on progressive training in data analysis and spatial analysis techniques.<\/p>\n \u2013 The team manages databases, mapping services, scanning, and georeferencing<\/p>\n
